Don't forget to check out some of the many information sessions that will be coming to town in the next couple of weeks. These sessions give you a great insight into the working world, as well as an opportunity to rub shoulders with some of the interviewers.

Also, one interesting position that doesn't have a detailed spot on the list is Western's Science Industry Internship Program. Here's the scoop: following the completion of your third year, you may participate in an 8-16 month industry placement where you can gain some serious insight into your future career.

Actuarial Students' National Association Convention 2009

Time: January 8-10, 2010
Location: Chateau Laurier, Qu¨¦bec City

Benefits of Attending:

  • Meet actuarial students from other universities across the country.
  • Attend information seminars, speeches, and social events.
  • Opportunity to network with employers at Canada¡¯s largest actuarial career fair. Several companies will be hosting on-site interviews and will be looking to hire students at the convention for summer/full-time positions.
