IBC Tournament Rules
The Intercollegiate Billiards Championship is 128 player double elimination tournament that will be handicapped as follows:

HANDICAPS:
-Players are ranked A,B,C by the club pro and IBC officials.
-Winners Bracket, A vs A = 5-5 race, A vs B = 5-4 race, A vs C = 5-3 race
                          B vs B = 4-4 race  B vs C = 4-3 race, C vc C = 3-3 race
-Losers Bracket,   A vs A = 4-4 race, A vs B = 4-3, race A vs C = 4-2 race
                          B vs B = 3-3 race, B vs C = 3-2 race, C vs C = 2-2 race
*Definition: 5-5 race means first player to win 5 games

RULES: We will be following standard BCA rules which can be found below.

8-Ball Rules

A brief summary of these rules include:
- Legal shot: player must contact their object ball, and then cause any ball to
   contact a rail
- Foul off the break results in ball in hand behind the head string, shooting up
   table only
- Any fouls after the break shot, result in ball in hand for opponent
- Jumping the 8-ball off the table or sinking the 8-ball in the wrong pocket
   results in loss of game
- Foul when shooting the 8-ball in any other circumstance, results in ball in
   hand for the opponent
