Association of International Relations The University of Western Ontario
The Association of International Relations has been a USC affiliated club since 2005. The Association is a student organization that works with the International Relations program at UWO, and this year’s staff advisor is Professor Francine McKenzie. There is close coordination on many extracurricular initiatives between the Association and the department of history. In the development years of the Association past executive members experimented with a variety of events to determine the direction that the organization would follow for future years. What is a clear is that students are always enthusiastic about having opportunities to express their views on current events. The executive members of AIR will therefore always ensure that members can demonstrate a passion for global affairs by endeavouring to include a wide variety of events that discuss current events reflecting both a popular and regional focus. In that sense, AIR aims to provide an environment for students to express their views on a broad range of international topics. Because AIR is a forum as well, it is a reliable source of information due to the accumulation of knowledge from our regional experts. We are also happy to receive the support of many professors, researchers from different departments and upcoming professionals that offer us their expertise on current topics. AIR is happy to come back this year with a new team, a new president and many projects making it a very dynamic association.
