So What's Paintball All About?
Paintball is a fast paced, adrenaline pumping game, which involves eliminating other players by marking or "tagging" them with safe, nontoxic, soluble paint. Paintball is similar to a complex game of tag or manhunt, the only difference being that markers powered by compressed gas are used to tag someone.
Paintball is a very safe sport. Many systems are in place to ensure each player's safety. Each player is required to wear quality face masks and goggle systems before they can step onto the playing field. While not in use, markers must be plugged by use of a barrel "condom", avoiding accidental firing. Each field limits the speed that the paintballs can travel, and enforce this by measuring the speeds through a "chronograph". There is also a large amount of protective gear available such as neck protectors, gloves and even body armour. But have no fear- even without armour, injuries while playing paintball are extremely rare.
Of course, the best way to learn about paintball is to actually play the game! Joining the Mustang Paintball Club will answer all your questions and show you just how fun this sport can be.
