STAND in partnership with the UWO African Students Association and London Public Library offers an after-school tutoring program for students in grades 1-12 from Newcomer communities in London. University and high school volunteers provide help with English and French reading, writing and speaking skills, as well as homework help. The program is free of charge. Parents may register their children upon arrival at the library.
We are looking for dedicated and reliable university, college, and high school students to volunteer as tutors throughout the year.
For more information contact Ashley Haycock (ahaycock@uwo.ca) or the libraries.
