Meeting Agenda:
The annual general meeting is when new executives are elected by a majority vote of the general membership. People interested in exec positions can participate in a drop-in information session from 3:30-4:30, where current executives will be available to answer questions, and consult with you on the best executive position for you to apply for. Following voting/elections, we dispersed into breakout sessions designed to collect feedback on this year, and build suggestions and goals for how to improve next year.

Meeting Synopsis:
This exec meeting included discussions on the Refill to Win initiative, follow up on Enviro Movie Nights, planning for Western's Earth Day, and a discussion with the USC's VP Campus Issues on possible changes that could come out of the Service's review process to benefit EnviroWestern's Executive structure, and selection process. Because of time restraints, the budget vote was tabled, and discussed through group-email. Results of the vote, and the discussion, are included as an appendix.

This first-week-back meeting was used to discuss upcoming campaigns (A "rewarding acts of green" campaign, and a raffle to reward mug-users during Roll up the Rim), and approve related budget expenditures. EnviroWestern's goals for the ongoing "services review" orchestrated by the USC was also discussed.

Meeting Synopsis:
This was the first at-length meeting of the newly formed Campus Sustainability Coalition (a collection of EnviroWestern liaisons representing each residence/faculty/affiliate constituency). At discussion were plans for campaigns next semester, including those relating to giveaways of reusable bags, rewarding environmental good deeds with prizes, promoting composting in the UCC, and promoting proper battery disposal.

This was in introductory meeting to get members acquainted with EnviroWestern, our plans for the year, and our executive. This also a meeting where new executives and interim-executives are officially elected into their positions. The EnviroWestern executive is composed of project leaders and facilitators elected at either the AGM in April of the previous year, or the first general meeting of the year in September. The minutes below detail the official exec structure of EnviroWestern for the 08-09 year.

This meeting focused on a few major budget decisions (with regards to bags, bottles, and mugs), as well as taking a holistic overview of all the new initiatives that have been proposed over the past couple months, to try to prioritize how important each is to get done. Meeting Synopsis:
There are a huge number of initiatives currently under consideration, although before we can start sorting those out, we had to first talk about a couple things that were more pressing. The first (discussed in great detail at this meeting) is plastic water bottle waste, which represents an issue big in the news, and very important to many of the students we serve. The second is O-Week, where the Info Soph Team that will represent us (among other services) is well into its planning, and in need of our input.
