The Don Wright Faculty of Music Students' Council at the University of Western Ontario exists to provide academic development support, social resources, and to function as a liaison between students, faculty administration, and other organisations within the Western and London communities.
Established in 1972, the Faculty of Music Students' Council continues to grow to meet the needs of undergraduate students, and currently enlists the leadership of numerous affiliates (including Sophs and Peer Guides), and a core Council of 27 members. The FoMSC is currently comprised of 5 elected board members, 11 appointed commissioners, 11 elected representatives, and 3 specialized positions. With three main branches and a variety of services, the FoMSC covers everything from academic tutoring to massive parties, the serious, the fun, and everything in between!
Our goal is to serve the needs and wants of you, the student, in every way we can. Meetings are held biweekly on Sundays in MB 345 at 7:00 pm and are open to all Music students who wish to attend. Got something to say? Just pop by a meeting, and we'll fit you into the top of our agenda. Want to know what we've been up to? Check out our minutes in the archives. Think you can handle us? Why not join a committee?
