Western's Jewish Students' Union will hold a 24-hour candlelight vigil in memory of victims of anti-semitism beginning at 5 p.m. today.

Participants will read the names of victims who died in the Holocaust on the concrete beach in front of the University Community Centre.

All students are invited to attend the Yom Hashoah ceremony and those interested in reading names can contact the JSU.

Tube talk

Various forms of media will be dissected today in the University Community Centre's McKellar Room.

Daniel Richler, host of CBC Newsworld's Big Life, will be on campus to discuss Alterna TV: What mainstream media fears most.

Richler was recently nominated for a Gemini for Big Life. He was also the host and producer of The New Music in the 1980s and hosted and produced Imprint, a literary show.

The talk begins at 12 p.m. and admission is free.
