A faculty of law graduation celebration which revealed the party side of legal students came under fire, The Gazette reported this week in 1981.

A small group of male students within the faculty hired a stripper for the party, after an open meeting was held earlier in which the decision was made not to hire adult entertainment.

"The feeling was that the wishes of the majority were undermined by a well-organized minority," an anonymous law student said. "Guys don't really like strippers. They aren't perverts or anything, they just didn't like the girls telling them what entertainment they could have."
