Palestinian conflict

Re: Middle East conflict

To the Editor:

Harvard University professor Marc Ellis shed light on the Palestinian situation on Nov. 27. His remarks were heartfelt and touched many. Some unhappy students in the audience said Ellis' views were only one side of the story, but that is where they are greatly mistaken. Ellis was brought to show both sides of the story because he is Jewish and has greatly researched the Palestinian and Israeli conflict. He pointed out mistakes committed by the Israelis against the Palestinians. Sadly, these are well-known crimes that still occur today. Unfortunately, Israel won't accept responsibility for the suffering they have caused and no one comes to the aid of the Palestinians. They are suffering and dying at the hands of Israel, but yet the world does nothing. Are they not human? Why does Israel and the U.S. act as if Palestine does not exist?
