Show me...support

Re: Varsity athletics

To the Editor:

I attended a varsity volleyball game recently and was shocked at the lack of support, evident by the number of people in attendance. This school has a huge population, yet there are very few fans at games. And the fans that do attend could be a little more enthusiastic.

This year, Western's varsity teams are dominating their respective leagues. For example, the men's and women's volleyball teams are both undefeated and the women's basketball team has won their last three tournaments, etc..

The student body should be more energetic when it comes to Western athletics. Come out of the woodwork and attend a game. Be loud, be rowdy and cheer on Western as a school.

Your years at Western will be gone before you know it. Don't pass up the opportunity to show your school spirit. Enjoy it while it lasts.
