Dave's done the job - make sure you do

Re: USC elections

To the editor:

I'm fed up with the current batch of University Students' Council presidential candidates criticizing Dave Tompkins and the current USC administration. I've been here for five years now and I've seen the same number of student councils.

Dave's is the only one which has produced discernable results. Notable among these are the USC web page, the Vote97 Internet concept, The Dave Show, his $50 student support fee investment fund concept, and a much-improved Pravda.

This year, the USC is a communication/feedback-based administration and if you want to change that, then you must be on crack. His administration has been more effective than any in my experience – are they implying that they will be better than them all?

Please don't make extravagant claims, such as controlling tuition increases, food prices and other issues that are outside the portfolio of the USC president – you're insulting our intelligence.
