COCA Cabana

Most people are unaware of the Canadian Organization of Campus Activities National Conference (COCA), simply because they have no way of getting in. Well, the 1997 will have one different event, known as the Revolver Showcase, which will sell tickets to the general public. Of course, all of this happens in June, so why should people care now?

Part of the week's festivities is to have bands, comics and lecturers perform before "80 to 100 talent buyers in one room, [who] actually sign contracts and do deals at the actual showcase," explains Pete Stanbridge, manager of the University Students' Council's entertainment productions.

Since the conference is going to be held in London this year, Stanbridge is looking for submissions from various entertainers who are interested in the show. There is a little pressure on those interested – the deadline is Feb. 28.

Don't fret if your art is not yet high profile, because as Stanbridge notes, "I would expect that we'll get a lot of indie stuff because of the Revolver showcase."
