Peaceful respect

Re: Sad and disappointed, Nov. 13

To the Editor:
Students have a lot on their minds and a lot to remember, this does not give us a right to ignorance, however, it does give us the right to set priorities and choose our own time for personal reflection. When you see someone not wearing a poppy, do not fail to recognize they might show their respect differently than you and not necessarily to a lessor extent. Instead of reacting negatively to your observances of non-poppy wearers, take an active role in reminding non-poppy wearers of where they can obtain a poppy or, if need be, remind them that it is Remembrance Day. Besides, that's what Remembrance Day is for... reminding.
