Nip it in the bud

Frats philanthropic

Re: Hey, frat boys!, Oct. 29

To the Editor:

On behalf of Alpha Epsilon Pi, I would like to apologize for any inconveniences our philanthropic party may have caused last Saturday.

Alpha Epsilon Pi has dedicated the past two months to raising money for The Canadian Cancer Society. A few weeks ago we raised over $1,600 during our 48hr Rock for Cancer Research fund-raiser and yesterday, with the help of three other fraternal organizations, we hosted a Coffee House at the Ceeps. Our party last Saturday was just another one of the many fund-raising events we partake in to raise money for Cancer Research. I would like to apologize to you again for asking you to donate three dollars towards finding a cure to Cancer. I understand if you are not willing to donate three loonies towards this cause, but please M. Steinman and C. Horenfeldt, do not chastise the hundreds of individuals who have donated their time, money and effort towards finding a cure for Cancer.

Casey Savlov
President of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity
