Learn to laugh

Re: Interpretational Ambiguity, Oct.15

To the Editor:
Following the aftermath left by the infamous Horowitz cartoon, it appears Mr. Foerster has given us yet more proof that Western lacks a decent sense of humour. I give him a three-part assignment in his response to Prof. Carroll's witty letter on homosexuality:

1. Look up "satire" in the nearest dictionary.

2. Look for a copy of Johnathan Swift's A Modest Proposal in the library. Then write a rebuttal to Swift's proposal, preferably with as many references as possible to authoritative texts.

3. Stop taking things so literally.
