Froshty the Snowman

To be crystal clear

Re: Subjective interpretation, Oct.17

To the Editor:
I just wanted to write to admit that I made a mistake. I "misspoke" myself when I said that Genesis condemns heterosexual sex. In fact, in Genesis 1:28, God actually told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply. Presumably He meant "have sex." What I should have said is that, though I am no expert, I get the impression that established Christian churches condemn sex except as an act of procreation.

This is, however, beside the point. My aim in my last letter was to point out that Prof. Carroll's letter was tongue-in-cheek, turning a religious persecutor's rhetoric around on them. Too many people missed that. I also wrote to ask that no one condemn me by arbitrary rules. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough?
