Reform your stealing ways

Re: Stolen Reform sign

To the Editor:
This letter is in regards to the coward who stole our sign. Sometime between 3 p.m. Sept. 17 and 9:30 a.m. Sept. 18, The Reform Club's banner was stolen off of the railing in the University Community Centre. The UWO Reform club denounces this un-Canadian, anti-democratic terrorist action. We realize the incredible value of a Reform banner on the black market, however, stealing is just not right. Seriously though, we can only assume that this was politically motivated and since we do not expect the criminal to be mounting this sign very soon, we would greatly appreciate it back. Since this is a university, a bastion of freedom of speech, we can only hope that the culprit was not a student at Western. We invite any students who have concerns about the Reform Party to come and speak with us. As a party in support of freedom of expression, we believe that intellectual discourse supersedes criminal senselessness.
