A fool and his money...

Next week is financial aid awareness week and students can attend seminars including "Women in the Know," led by the Toronto Dominion Bank between noon and 1 p.m. on Tuesday in Rm. 49 of the University Community Centre.

Western's financial aid office will hold its own seminar on scholarships, bursaries and the Ontario Student Assistance Program on Wednesday in Rm. 379 of the UCC between noon and 1 p.m.. Royal Bank Mutual Funds will host the last seminar on investment basics in Rm. 379 of the UCC from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Famous writers strut their stuff

Those aspiring to become famous writers will have a chance to learn from the best. Award-winning authors Joan Barfoot, Bonnie Burnard and Joanne Gerber will be reading from their respective novels and presenting some thoughts on writing Monday at 7 p.m. in the McIntosh Gallery. "We are very privileged to have all three writers at Western at the same time," said event organizer Carolyn Young.
