Peaceful opinions

Re: Israel Day protestor a USC member?, Jan.22

To the Editor:
Since when is a non-violent protest not allowed on campus? Whoever did protest Israel Day in the atrium did so quietly and did not disturb anyone's actions. I think Rubinoff is taking the misguided tentacles of the USC too far; even if the protester was an USC member, he protested as an anonymous individual, not as a USC member. I don't think the USC is supposed to erase its members' individual identity and force them to conform. The USC is made up of students and students have the right to express their opinions peacefully.
