The men's and women's badminton teams went to a tournament at McMaster on the weekend, where they were quite successful, going 4-1. Western defeated Toronto and Queen's 6-5, Ottawa 7-4 and Ryerson 9-2. The only blemish on the record was a 7-4 loss at the hands of York. Western will host the West Sectionals Nov. 21 and 22.

Basketball(men)

The men travelled to New Brunswick to participate in the University of New Brunswick Tournament in Fredericton. The men earned the bronze medal as they thumped Regina 94-55. They had lost earlier to St. Francis Xavier 97-91 in overtime.

Basketball(women)

The women took their game down south in a couple of exhibition matches against schools from the United States. The women split the two exhibition games, squeaking by Marist University by a score of 65-63 and then losing to Army 85-56.

Squash(women)

The women's squash team hosted all six teams which compete in the squash circuit, in their second tournament of the year. The women once again took the team title, with Queen's and McGill earning the silver and bronze respectively.

Volleyball(women)

Friday night the Mustang women travelled to Hamilton to take on the McMaster Marauders in regular season action. After a brief lapse in which the women lost the first game 15-13, Western went on to win the next three by scores of 15-11, 15-2 and 15-8.
