House of debt

Re: Harris defends debt, Nov. 10

To the Editor:

There will be only two types of people in post secondary education – the smart and the rich – if the Torys continue to increase tuition fees. I was shocked when I heard that tuition went up 9.8 per cent.

I thought university was a place to get an education, not to go bankrupt. I guarantee that OSAP loans won't be paid for a long time and Mike will end up paying the debt.

This government also seems to be systematically sabotaging post secondary education for hard-working students, minorities in particular. You only have to look at Toronto and see the hundreds of schools (in ethnically diverse areas) that are being closed down.

Now, instead of stimulating growth in this increasing demographic, he seems to be hindering it. It's a real shame that the future of this country will probably be in the hands of a rich nerd... Bill Gates.
