URBAN STYLE FOREVER. Don't try and tell Frilly Lizard owner Sue Glass that the London downtown area is on the brink of demise, if not there already. "I'm sick of people saying that the downtown core is dead," Glass says.
Despite the Covent Garden Market construction and roadwork outside her Talbot Street location, Glass says sales are up and business is booming in what Flare Magazine called "One of the best boutiques outside of Metro Toronto" in their September 1998 issue. Also be sure to check out Commander Salamander, Glass' new store, connected directly to Frilly Lizard.
HEADING OUT. Floral ankle-length flocked dress, Laundry by Shelli Segal, $375;
Black floor-length strapless sparkly dress, David Dixon, $260 (Saffron Road).
