Know your limits
By Christina Vardanis, Clare Elias and Mark Lewandowski

Survival. As easy as it sounds, it's a concept much more foreign to frosh than might be expected. How can you survive if you're too tired to scavenge for food? Too hungry to take notes? Too dirty to hit on that cutie in Psych and too sober to care?
Like any species living in the wild, the key is to master your surroundings. Know the essentials for sustaining life and know where to both obtain these necessities and maximize them. For most, these survival instincts are innate. But for you, here's a hint.
The next few pages are filled with essentials that we feel you should familiarize yourself with in order to utilize London to its fullest. This is the stuff you can't find in any Frosh kit or anywhere else. So pay attention.
This is a comprehensive guide to all the coolest, hippest, grooviest, zaniest and even stupidest places to get your fix for whatever needs fixin'.
From the beginning of postsecondary education, students have walked aimless miles to school barefoot, uphill, both ways, in meters of snow, drunk, in search of the promised land. At long last, the search is over. You have arrived at Western. And this guide is meant to compliment any lifestyle or attitude that you may adopt during your stay in the land of Western.
Throughout the year, we promise to do our best to keep you on top of what's going on in the arts and entertainment world. You will be dazzled by brilliant interviews, amazed by film critiques and pissed off by bad reviews of CDs you like.
In this guide you will be told where to eat, where to drink, where to man, where to woman, where to shop, where to climb, where to dance, where to prance, even where to learn.
If you don't like what we have to say, feel free to come on up to The Gazette and share your wisdom with us. We are the largest university paper in Canada and we'd be nothing without our fans.
