United Western helps

Western pride was shining bright in the University Community Centre Atrium last Friday.

In a presentation made by the United Way, campaign chair Rick McCrombie said Western surpassed its goal by $500 and donated $250,500 for the organization.

According to McCrombie, volunteers working throughout the London Middlesex region have helped raise $4,750,000. "It is the most money ever raised in this area."

Western President Paul Davenport, who attended the presentation, said he was very proud of the university. "It was wonderful to see the students, staff and faculty come together."
