Tuesday's not so funny

Too much melodrama

And we all shine on

B&E instead of R&R at campus recreation

Column labelled as ignorant, intolerant

Assistance needs work

You go boyfriend!

I wanna be just like Ivey?

I want my Rogers TV

Tuesday's not so funny

To the Editor:

There was an air of familiarity last week as I returned to London to begin another year at Western. Same buildings, same faces – it was good to be back.

Imagine my horror, however, when upon entering The Spoke to inquire as to whether Friday Funnies would begin this week, I was informed that they had been moved to Tuesday nights.

Tuesday night funnies? It just doesn't have the same ring to it. Friday afternoons at The Spoke have become a staple of life to many students, who go to unwind after a hectic week of classes. What better way to relax on a Friday afternoon then to meet friends at The Spoke and watch a comedian incorporate ordering a pizza and making fun of the delivery person into his stand-up act.

Maybe the Friday afternoon crowd just didn't buy enough beer. Maybe the University Students' Council is trying to double dip into the Tuesday market. And maybe we'll just have to say goodbye to a Friday afternoon tradition.
