Biz students don't scrimp on winnings

An online coupon service got the nod from an annual business competition at the Richard Ivey School of Business.

The business, www.couponsforstudents.com, an internet web site where students could download and print coupons for use on and off-campus, took the top award as part of Business 257's annual feasibility competition.

Rajesh Jain, a second-year administrative and commercial studies student and one of seven in the group that won the competition, said they battled their way to the top, out of a pool of 140 others.

"We felt like the whole thing was a good learning process," Jain said, explaining the next step for the business would be to continue with operations in an effort to see if it could grow.
