Letters to the Editor

Is it really that easy being green?

God is good and all, except...

Re: Hill choir hums about Jesus, God, Mar. 15

To the Editor:

The members of the so-called University College hill Christian choir wrote "the deepest desire in every person ... is to have a relationship with the eternal God."

I find this offensive.

Maybe it is true that Christians, Muslims, Jews and many other faiths believe in some sort of higher power. But do not label this as something necessary for everyone's existence, because it is not.

Preaching in public seems to be one of the last forms of harassment allowed.

More "tips" for and even better time

Re: Better bar scene in seven easy steps, Mar.14.

To the Editor:

Wes Brown has forgotten the most crucial step in his "Better Bar Scene" guide.

Are you constantly being ignored by your bartender/server? Are you receiving bad looks and slow service? Well of course you are! You forgot the most important step – the eighth, and most important step, is to show gratitude to your hard working bar staff.

Please tip your wait staff well, they are the ones putting up with your sorry drunk ass and replenishing your thirsty souls 'til the wee hours of the morning.
