Raising more than money

The University Students' Council hopes to raise money and awareness for cancer next week.

From Mar. 26 to 29, the USC will hold Cancer Awareness Week, said USC charity commissioner Andrew Kesteloot. On Mar. 29, daffodils will be on sale in the University Community Centre Atrium and USC volunteers will help sell flowers to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society, he said.

Last year, the USC raised over a $1,000 for the CCS and they hope to surpass that this year, he added. There will also be an information booth located in the Atrium, that will provide relevant information on all forms of cancer.

Anyone interested in volunteering to sell flowers can contact Kesteloot at akestelo@uwo.ca.
