Why will they win? "Just because"

The gladiators of the gridiron will suit up next weekend when the Western Mustangs travel to Hamilton to face the McMaster Marauders.

Do the Mustangs have a prayer against the potent Mac attack? The Gazette posed this question to various campus prognosticators.

Paul Davenport – Knight of France and Western president

"Western has a very good chance against McMaster. They played very well last week against Ottawa and I think they will surprise McMaster. I'm looking forward to a Western victory."

Hudson Clark – former Mustang tight end

"Western definitely has a chance against McMaster. On any given day anything can happen, especially in the post-season. With the history of Mustang football, the purple and white will always have a shot at victory."

Tyler Stevenson – physiology/psychology III

"Western will put up a fight, but McMaster's offense is too dominating. I want the Mustangs to win, but that's only wishful thinking."

Ben – a toddler at the University's day care

"Western will win 10-8... I want to be on the Western football team... I like to do art, not football." And why will the Mustangs come home triumphant this weekend? Ben's answer was classic: "just because."
