Wake up and smell the war

Let's focus on U.S. oppression

American led global monarchy

American torture abroad ignored

A reminder...

American led global monarchy

To the Editor:

Since Tuesday's encounter, I have been outside of myself. I don't know how to act and I refuse to turn to the media to tell me how I should.

In class on Wednesday, I said words to the following effect: I believe George W. Bush will represent the American ideals of freedom, capitalism and so on. But look also to every repressed nation in the world. They understand these ideals as slavery, inequality, and poverty.

I believe all American ideals come from the blood, sweat and tears of repressed people the globe over. We must not believe that to fight for greater justice and equality in the world would be to acquiesce to the whims of terrorists.

We must fight justice and equality and I do not mean the justice of a bomb or the equality of an eye for an eye, but a genuine effort to end the global monarchy the first-world nations of Earth seem to represent.
