Disabilities Awareness Week
This year's Disabilities Awareness Week a yearly event hosted by the University Students' Council to help promote awareness of various disabilities that students may face will take place Jan. 28, 29 and 30.
"People often assume that having a disability means being in a wheelchair, but it doesn't," said Sera Vavala, USC VP-campus issues.
Vavala added that the disabilities students on campus experience are wide ranging and varying.
"There are several disabilities on-campus and various different resources available," she said.
Events during the week will include wheelchair basketball and interactive displays by Easter Seals.
