Men's Hockey

Western 8, Lakehead 1
Western goals: Justin Davis (2) Chris Hasket, Joe Talbot, Tom Brown, Shaun Thomson, Jason Davies and Rob Frost

Western 5, Lakehead 1
Western goals: Hasket (2) Matt Dziedusycki, Ryan Held and Frost

The Mustangs set a new Western record for consecutive regular season wins with 18 breaking the record they set last year with 16. Western also clinched the Ontario University Athletics West Division title and earned a first round bye in the play-offs as well as home ice advantage through out the playoffs.

Men's Basketball
Western 90, Waterloo 69
Jimmy Grozelle and Andy Kwiatkowski led the team in scoring with 23 points each.

Women's Basketball
Western 74, Waterloo 50
Joanne Chehade led the Mustangs with 24 points
Jennifer Grebeldinger, Sarah Lercara and Cheryl Atkinson also reached double-figure scoring totals with 15, 12 and 10 points respectively.

Men's Volleyball
Western 3, Laurier 0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-16)
Luke Schram had 15 kills.

Women's Volleyball
Laurier - 3 Western - 2 ( 22-25,31-29, 20-25, 25-21, 15-9)
Western fell to 8-5 in regular season play

Track and Field
(held in Windsor)

First place finishes:

Women: Kate Vermeulen (1,000 meters), 4x800 metre relay team , Jill Gamble (3,000 metres), Ashley MacNeill (60 meter hurdles), Lindsay Whitehead (high jump) Kate Forbes (shot put).

Men: 4x400 metre relay team of Jeff Russell, Christian Heffernan, Gavin McTavish and Preston Haynes.
