Progressive Conservatives not pro-student?

Big thanks to the Western community!

Big thanks to the Western community!

To the Editor:

I never knew what type of response I would get from people when I decided to join the Canadian Diabetes Association's 'Team Diabetes.'

I made a commitment to raise money and awareness to help find a cure for diabetes while running a marathon in Dublin. Most of my support has come from the place I used to call home – Western.

I'm more than half way to my goal of $10,000 – if you could help me in any way, I would be very grateful.

I want to take this opportunity to thank a few people publicly – you should know about some special people on this campus. Mike Lawless, Andrea MacDonald, Harris Krofchick, Emilija Businskas and the students of Medway-Sydenham Hall have all been so generous in lending me their support. Thank you very much.

But most importantly, I would like to thank you for visiting my website (www.perrymonaco.com), sending me e-mails of support and opening your wallets to an old Western lad trying to make a difference.

Thank you. Thank you very much.
