Getting it done through the air
Andy Fantuz and Jennifer Lopez's ass have a lot in common. What you ask? They have both been swamped with media spotlight.
But on Saturday afternoon at the Homecoming classic between Western and the McMaster University Marauders, it wasn't just Fantuz who was decimating the Marauders secondary.
The receiving trio of Fantuz, Christian Heffernan and Greg Ross combined for an amazing 12 receptions, 411 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
"It's not like we have one good receiver," Heffernan said. "We are really deep at the position and [quarterback Chris Hessel] understands we can catch the ball and we need to spread it out."
McMaster head coach Greg Marshall agreed with Heffernan.
"I wasn't surprised at all [that Ross and Heffernan had big games]," Marshall said. "They are great players."
Marshall noted Mustangs quarterback Chris Hessel also played an outstanding game.
The catches the three stars hauled in weren't routine jobs either. Ross was continuously reaching through more than one McMaster defender to haul in the pass, Heffernan used his blazing track and field-bred speed and Fantuz, as always, demonstrated his clear athletic superiority of his overmatched defenders in the secondary.
