Western 52, Windsor 5

Week One
Monday, September 2
TD Waterhouse Stadium

The Mustangs football team jumped out of the gates on Monday, embarrasing the Windsor Lancers at TD Waterhouse Stadium.

The Mustangs secured a 9-0 first quarter lead and never looked back. Their offensive explosion included two touchdown passes from Chris Hessel to rookie phenom Andy Fantuz. Fantuz is a product of Chatham McGregor Secondary School and apparently the Mustangs' next great hope.

Running back Drew Soleyn broke out for 181 yards on 17 carries, while on the defensive end of the ball, linebacker Brian Wettlaufer registered six tackles, one sack and one interception and linebacker John Hammoud added five tackles.
