Peace starts on campus
the Bad Side Too," Feb. 5
To the Editor:
I'm getting really frustrated with all the finger pointing regarding the Middle East conflict. Both sides have been wronged and done wrong to each other. For us to sit here and point fingers at each other is futile and will not result in any progress. The main objective here is "peace."
I read The Gazette everyday and not one person who has written
a letter concerning this conflict has mentioned the word peace. This makes
me very sad and angry.
Do people really believe that the solution to the Middle East crisis is tallying up the wrong doings of each side to the other? We must talk about our issues and concerns, not cowardly distribute pamphlets outside the University Community Centre while a celebration of Israel goes on inside.
We are the future generation; let's set an example for the older generation and show them that we can achieve peace in the Middle East in our lifetime. That is my wish. Why isn't it anyone elses?
