Bob LaRose, the Western Mustangs assistant football coach and defensive co-ordinator, was released from the program on Wednesday.



Mustangs gain inspired victory

If you think the only place to see balls spiked hard is in a Jackass movie, you surely haven't seen the Western Mustangs women's volleyball team play.



Playoff bound

On Wednesday night at Alumni Hall, the Western men's volleyball team was in a must-win situation. On the line in their game against the McMaster University Marauders was the sixth and final playoff spot in Ontario University Athletics.

 


Purple Pipe: Rob Nigro

The Purple Pipe has strayed from the beaten path of mainstream sports this week and fallen into the hands of Rob Nigro, the best damn squash player in Ontario. Period.

 


Lancers shutout struggling Mustangs

It was a cold Wednesday night at Thompson Arena, where the Western Mustangs women's hockey team and the Windsor Lancers were preparing for a battle of gargantuan proportions, to be played out on a sheet of ice. Unfortunately, the Mustangs slipped.
