Friends put out the fire

To the Editor:

While an unfortunate apartment fire took away our belongings last Friday, we received invaluable help and support from many people at the Richard Ivey School of Business.

We feel that we have a big, warm-hearted, close, willing-to-help family here. We can not imagine how we could overcome difficulties in this freezing winter. My wife Anna, my son Sam and I, really appreciate the help from all of you. We especially appreciate the help from Joanne Shoveller, Ella Strong, professors Niraj Dewar and Larry Menor and my Section 4 brothers and sisters.

We'd like to say great thanks to the brave young Western student Jon Peretez and Fanshawe College student Craig Pike. It is your bravery that saved my son and my wife's life.
