Gazette sports has often been guilty of jumpin' on the love train of particular Western athletes who seem to defy earthly parameters – the ghost of receiver Andy Fantuz's rookie season is still swooping through the office as I speak.

Mustangs win marathon

The Mustangs women's basketball team came back after their loss to Queen's University to defeat the Waterloo Warriors in an extremely long and intense game Saturday afternoon at Alumni Hall.

 


When love isn't enough

The heat of competition and the love of the game are conditions the members of the Mustangs men's basketball team enjoy each and every Wednesday and Saturday on game day. But one solitary member, by some devilish force of bad luck, is forced to wither away on the bench.

Nick Salomons has endured pain, agony and probably worst of all, the smell of fresh pine, too many times.
