False alarms

Re: "Fire pranks and male aggression," Jan. 14

To the Editor:

Reading between the lines of your recent necessary report of a "malicious" false fire alarm on campus, I infer that the person/persons responsible:

a) Has no relatives/friends in the London Fire Department (one of whose members was killed some years ago responding to an alarm).

b) Has no relatives/friends who have been assisted by a fire department emergency-response unit.

c) Is not paying the thousands of tax dollars wasted in responding to and investigating malicious false fire alarms.

d) Has nothing better to do for "entertainment."

e) Should read the Criminal Code of Canada.
