Gazette not that witty

Re: "Dynamic dolls designated distinct," Mar. 12

To the Editor:

While I am a big fan of alliteration, I have to say that the News Brief headline "Dynamic dolls designated distinct" is – to continue with the string of d-words – derogatory.

The five Western women who are being honoured as Women of Distinction by the YMCA-YWCA should not have been degraded by being referred to as "dolls." I can only infer that the drafter of this destructive defamation was definitely deluded.
