CD REVIEW: King Nancy

Royal disaster

King Nancy
To Quitta
Independent

Rundown: From St. John's, Newfoundland, King Nancy is an alternative rock outfit whose first release, To Quitta, frequently drifts into tired territory.

Key Tracks:
The most energetic number, "Part II," is catchy, but most of the album sounds more like "Am I Waiting," an unremarkable track with weak, meandering verse melodies.

Sounds Like:
It is reminiscent of Nickelback, but with better vocals and superior musicianship. It's too bad that the songwriting isn't there, because these guys have the tools to play good music.
