Sick of the Everyday

I’m burnt
out from these games we play
     sick of the everyday
     shit that keeps happenin’
     relentlessly.

I’m ready
     to leave it all
     walk run stumble crawl
     out of the everyday
     into something more.

It’s the slowness of the world
     that has my thoughts swirled
          whirling
          curling into a carelessness within.
     If I really cared
and if the world really dared.
     We’d stifle my indifference
with a twist of the everyday.
