Word on the street...

Annika Sorenstam will be competing at the Colonial Invitational this weekend. Vijay Singh recently claimed in an Associated Press interview that he would not play if paired with Sorenstam, saying "[She] doesn't belong out here...this is a man's tour. There are guys out there trying to make a living."

The Gazette gauged the reaction of Singh's comments.

"[Singh] presents one perspective; the women do have a tour and he feels that's where [Sorenstam] should be playing. From the other perspective, Annika is doing this as a personal challenge."

"I think it's a big publicity stunt. I don't think she'll do that well."
