Tigers tamed, Monarchs royal
London's new ball team opens with bravado

Baseball is back in London.

The London Monarchs are the newest incarnation of baseball by the forks of the Thames. As part of the new eight team Canadian Baseball League, the Monarchs hope to revive London's interest in baseball while providing a stepping stone for players who hope to eventually crack a Major League roster.

For a league that's still in its infancy, the Canadian National Basketball League (CNBL) has some big goals and high expectations.




Former stars honoured

Four former Mustangs were recently inducted into Western's Cross Country and Track and Field Hall of Fame at the Don Wright Dinner on Sat., May 24.
