Women's Soccer

After such a successful season last year, the women's soccer team had big shoes to fill in 2003. In the regular season, a perfect 10-0 record put the Mustangs in first place in Ontario University Athletics.

The women made it look easy controlling the game, scoring goals and stopping shots. When all was said and done, they ended the regular season with 45 goals scored and only three against.

Despite their amazing season, Western was upset in the OUA semi-finals by the Ottawa Gee Gees, forcing the Mustangs to play in the bronze medal game, instead of the expected gold. They ended their season with a bronze medal after a 3-0 victory over Wilfrid Laurier.

Mustang Christina Bonasia was awarded second team All-Canadian honours, while Eva Havaris was a first team OUA All-Star.

Success-O-Meter Score: 7/10
