Men's Rugby

The men's rugby team was able to earn a first round playoff bye because of their 5-1 regular season record. In the semi-finals, Western was able to beat perennial rival Queen's 23-7 to advance to the Ontario University Athletics finals. As it turned out, that was as far as they would get.

McMaster, the team responsible for Western's only regular season loss (a 34-27 match on Oct. 9) was ultimately the team to finish the Mustangs off. The two squads met in the OUA final, a game dominated by the Marauders.

Scrum half Andrew Dold finished seventh overall in OUA scoring, notching one try, 11 converts and three goals to total 36 points.

Success-O-Meter Score: 8/10
