Manic Mondays no more! Campus Life stops stress

When I feel overwhelmed I sometimes partake in a cleaning frenzy, which spawns from the realization I would rather do anything other than think about the source of my stress.

I don't particularly recommend this method of relief, however, because by the time you start to feel a little bit better, you realize your room is in complete disarray, in that partially-organized-but-not-really sort of way, therefore stressing you out even further because you're left with an unfinished attempt at organizing. Whoa, even thinking about this stresses me out.

The failure-free alternative, however, lies in the simple television and tea break. Round up your roommates, fill up some mugs and indulge in some "quality" television like Nip/Tuck or the newly launched Skin for some comic relief. Wait -maybe I lied, sometimes this can increase stress.

If you're feeling indecisive, having to choose between peppermint, summer berry or regular ol' Tetley tea or even hot chocolate can induce stress all on its own. Maybe there just isn't a risk-free way to cure slightly spastic people like myself.

-Lori Mastronardi
