SWANKY

Joe Millionaire 2: Real Texas rodeo cowboy David Smith might not have it all up there, but he's infinitely hotter than the last Joe who tricked a slough of women into thinking he had big bucks. This time, however, the new Joe wants to trick foreign women. And so these European babes get to show us their Euro cool while battling it out in romantic Tuscany.

Halloween parties: With this weekend comes our annual opportunity to don our craziest outfits, eat loads of sweet, sweet candy and attend multiple Halloween parties - because of course, the holiday extends from Devil's Night (tonight) all the way through the weekend. Mmm... Halloween.

Accordion Buses: Say good-bye to the evil, evil times when the 2 Dundas would pass you by after a long wait in the bitter cold. Rather, these fantastic new buses come fully equipped with endless room, elevated seats and flashy lights. Riding the bus has never been so fun.

SKANKY

The death of Elliott Smith: We knew of his long past of personal problems, but no one would have guessed he was hurting so much - his passing comes as a double blow after the loss of U.K. singer-songwriter Matthew Jay. Smith's music was a comfort to the lonely, the heartbroken and the miserable, and he will be sorely missed.

Line-ups at the Used Book Store: Why, oh why, do the line-ups at the Used Book Store have to be so damn long? First, you spend 20 minutes in line waiting to see if your books got sold; then, after finding out the most expensive ones are still sitting on the shelf you are forced to spend another 15 minutes waiting to pick up your meagre cheque.

Britney's new video for "Me Against the Music": Okay, who told Madonna it would be a good idea to reinvent herself as a cougarish lesbian obsessed with Britney Spears? Britney's new video (featuring Madge) is disturbing on many levels, especially the bedroom scene... yikes. This simply goes to show how played-out the whole Britney/Madonna thing is.
